Founding GTM Lead

Remote, CanadaFull-time

You'll work alongside leadership to close our first customers, and you'll turn that into a repeatable process. You'll learn who buys and why, make it sharper, and own revenue from there.

About Sabia

Sabia shows companies what their AI actually costs and what it actually produces. Every team now runs Claude Code, Codex, Cowork and a dozen other agents. Finance sees the invoice, but nobody can say which work it bought. Sabia connects the bill to the output: the session, the pull request, the Google Doc, the person and the team.

We're technical, and we write the code ourselves. We build with AI agents every day, so we know how much they can write and how little of what they write is checked. Sabia is heading into paid pilots. Whoever joins will help shape the product, and can look at it and say “this is mine now”.

Who we’re looking for

We're not hiring a résumé. We want someone a bit unusual, who is all in.

  • Owners, not ticket-takers. You notice the thing that has been quietly broken. You fix it, and then make sure it can't happen quietly again.
  • Curious about where AI is really going. You have strong opinions about agents, and some of them come from getting burned.
  • Allergic to vague. You would rather give the exact number than say “there were some issues”.
  • Comfortable with no map. You don't wait for a playbook. You write the first version.
  • Here for the long haul. We want people who want to build the company, not just do a job at one.

What you'll own

  • The full deal. Prospecting, discovery, demos, pilots, procurement and close.
  • The buyer map. AI spend is new, and it sits between engineering leaders, finance and IT. You work out who feels the pain, who signs and who can block, then build the motion around them.
  • Pilots that convert. A pilot isn't a free trial. You set success criteria up front and make sure they get met.
  • The playbook. Pitch, objection handling, a security questionnaire process and CRM hygiene, written down so someone else can run it.
  • Pricing input. You'll help set pricing, using evidence from the deals you close.
  • The product loop. You bring back what buyers ask for in their own words, and you push back when we build something nobody asked for.

You probably have

  • 4+ years closing B2B SaaS, with at least one stint as an early or first salesperson at a startup.
  • Experience selling to technical buyers (engineering, platform or data leaders) and finance at the same time.
  • A track record you can show: deals you sourced and closed yourself, not just a share of a team number.
  • Comfort with security reviews and procurement at mid-market and enterprise companies.
  • You use AI tools every day, and you can demo Claude Code or Codex without a script.

This is not for you if

  • You need inbound leads, a defined territory and a quota built from last year's numbers.
  • You'd rather follow a playbook than write one.
  • Building something from nothing sounds stressful rather than exciting.

How we'll hire

  1. A 30-minute call with our team.
  2. A working session: we give you a real prospect profile, and you run discovery with us playing the buyer.
  3. A mock pitch to our leadership team, plus your plan for the first 90 days.
  4. References from people you sold to, not only people you sold with. Then an offer.
